A foundational system that turns answers into structured signals, improving how intori understands you over time. SCIS powers more intentional Packs, stronger Stamps, and better Connections.
By Donald Bullers

Today we’re introducing something new.
You won’t find it as a button in the app or a new tab to explore. It’s not something you tap into directly. But it changes how everything works.
It’s called the Structured Conversational Inventory System, SCIS.
Most apps try to understand people in ways that don’t really hold up. They track behavior and make assumptions, ask a few onboarding questions and stop there, or store bits of information that never connect into anything useful. The result is usually the same. Something generic, repetitive, or slightly off.
We wanted something that improves as you use it. Not by collecting more data, but by collecting the right kind of data in the right way.
“SCIS is one of the most important systems we’ve built. It changes how we understand people at a foundational level. Not just for intori today, but for everything we’re building next. This is the layer that makes real personalization possible.”
— Donald Bullers, Founder
SCIS is the system that turns your answers into structured signals that can actually be used.
Every time you open a Pack, there’s a chain happening behind the scenes:
question → answer → topic → signal → progress
Instead of treating answers as isolated inputs, SCIS connects them into something cumulative. Over time, this builds a clearer, more reliable picture of your preferences, habits, and patterns without requiring any upfront setup.
With SCIS fully integrated, Packs should start to feel more intentional.
You’ll notice:
This is because the system is actively deciding what to ask next based on what’s already known and what’s still missing.
The biggest shift is not how many questions are asked, but how much each answer contributes.
SCIS is designed so that each interaction improves the system’s ability to:
This creates a feedback loop where each Pack makes the next one better.
Instead of trying to figure you out all at once, SCIS builds understanding gradually.
It prioritizes:
This allows the system to stay lightweight while still improving in depth over time.
SCIS now sits underneath everything in the app.
Packs collect signals.
Stamps reflect progress.
Connections become more relevant.
Groups unlock with better context.
The flow hasn’t changed, but the outcomes are more consistent. As you continue using intori, what you see starts to align more closely with how you actually think and choose.
SCIS is the input layer. It’s where structured understanding begins.
Over time, this feeds into a broader direction where your preferences and patterns can be used, with your permission, to improve other experiences beyond a single app.
We’re not introducing that today. But this is the foundation for it. As outlined in our system design, SCIS makes it possible to move from raw answers to structured, reusable signals that can power real personalization.
With SCIS in place, the focus shifts to how progress is reflected back to you.
You’ll start to see clearer progression after each Pack, more meaningful outcomes even when no Stamp drops, and stronger alignment between what you answer and what unlocks. Each Pack should feel like a step forward, not just more activity.
SCIS doesn’t change what you do in intori. You still open Packs and answer questions.
What changes is what those answers build into over time.
